Arguably the best statistical season by a Jay was Carlos Delgado in 2000. He hit .344 with 41 HR's, 57 2b, and 137 RBI. Not to mention Delgado led the league with an 1.134 OPS. (He was jobbed by a juicing Giambi for the MVP. That's another story though)

Context is even more important with hitting becoming a lost art in todays game, whether that's because of analytics, pitching becoming better. But Vladdy is putting up insane numbers when there is basically a no hitter being pitched once a week.
