Byfield seems like a really strange trade centerpiece to me. Either he is good enough that Buffalo is ecstatic because they got a comparable player on an ELC and LA looks foolish for the swap...
Or he's not nearly as good as Eichel and Buffalo traded a star for quantity like they did with O'Reilly and lost the trade.
If Byfield is really that good then LA should be keeping and building with him.
