Well its the popular choice because of marketing as well. We see Molson Canadian adds everywhere. The smaller breweries can't market that way. Therefore, those people who just want to have a typical beer will just buy what they've heard of. I don't think most avid beer conosseurs (sp) would choose Canadian as their top choice. I'm not claiming to be one of them by the way. I can drink the occassional Canadian but its nowhere near being a top preference of mine.
