Tkachuk-Eichel-Gaudreau would be a hell of a top line as Johnny and Chucky have been developing some noticeable chemistry since being put together.
I know everyone, much like with Brodie, has flipped their opinion on Hanifin and in turn are down on Valimaki but as we’ve seen this year it’s much harder to acquire skill players who can score than it is to find top 4 defensive dmen.
Having a foundation of Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Eichel and Lindholm would finally allow us to ice a legitimate top two lines. Sprinkle in Mangiapane/Dube and we are laughing.
We also wouldn’t have to expose any of our top dmen for expansion.
I fully expect the Hanifin supporters to rip me a new one but that’s just how I see it.
Hanifin is like Brodie, we love him one season then the next he struggles and we rip on him. He is following a similar trajectory.

Well, there’s the small matter of what Buffalo would want. I think they want a high end forward plus a lot of other pieces, to make up for losing their high end forward.
