Monahan sewered Gaudreau this year. And Gaudreau is the perfect player to be the second best player on the team. If you land Eichel I think that would go a long way in re-signing Johnny.
Centre depth of Eichel/Lindholm/Monahan/Backlund would be pretty damn good.

Was watching Eichel highlights, the guy can telegraph a shot into a small space between the goalie and the post. He does it from different distances and all kinds of angles, his wrister is amazingly fast. On one goal he had 2 defenders on either side, but could still shoot and score easily with his stick in close to his body. All we need is a guy like Johnny who puts the puck on his stick every time!
