Yeah I don't think Treliving is at all similar to the previous regime. I personally think he's more cut out to be an assistant GM as he seems like a tireless worker which is what a GM would want from his assistant doing a lot of legwork, contract negotiations, etc. His shortcomings are hard to overcome as he has absolutely no clue when it comes to hiring a head coach, pro scouting, and for a younger GM he's very old school overly focusing on defense, defense, defense. I can see why Burke liked him as he's not as progressive thinking as you would have hoped for a relatively young GM.
