The British Columbian players have scored about as many total points as the Quebecer players, despite only have about 60% of the population. So for them, it's quality over quantity.
Even for the draft this year, Zachary Bolduc might be the only Quebec born player drafted in the first round. And he might not go in the top 20.
By the way, I don't think the Flames (including Atlanta) have ever had a roster that didn't include an Albertan-born player. I might be wrong on this. |
I’m not sure why percentage of population is particularly relevant. The fact is, Quebec produces more players than every province in Canada save Ontario.
Quebec has 59 vs. 4 for PEI.
