If anything, the North has been the hardest division for scoring this year.
Bottom-10 Goals Against Teams per Division:
North – 1
East – 3 (the 3 worst defensive teams in the NHL)
West – 3
Central – 3

The Oilers are averaging 2.06 goals a game vs Toronto and Montreal (probably the 2 best d cores in the divisions). Against Calgary, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Ottawa they are averaging 3.81. I'm sure if you looked up his points against each team, it would probably reflect something similar. Calgary, Ottawa and Vancouver are all in the bottom 10 teams in the league and the Jets #1 D pairing is Morrisey and Pionk. Connor is playing at a pace hes never ever come close to. Same thing with Mathews, 40 goals in 49 games equals a 67 goal pace. Ovechkin has only cracked 60 goals once and that was when he hit 65, 13 years ago and he may be the greatest goal scorer ever. I'm sorry but the North sucks.
