My course (Nanton) is having a board meeting tonight to decide how to move forward with the new rules. My guess is they'll scrub the tee sheet and have everyone rebook.
The Highwood in High River is doing the following....
Spoiler!
Booking procedure
-effective immediately, the tee sheets from Monday, May 10 to Saturday, May 15 will be erased and you will need to rebook today beginning at 3:00pm for the above 6 days. Please communicate this to any guests you may have scheduled with you.
-normal tee time booking procedures will resume again tonight at 9:00pm. You will book for Sunday, May 16 at that time.
-we will shorten our tee sheet intervals to 6 minutes (from 8) to account for smaller group size and a faster pace of play on both golf courses.
-maximum group size will be 3 players. Single golfers are obviously permitted but be aware that you may be booked behind twosomes and threesomes. Please be patient.
-the tee sheets from Monday, May 10 until the end of the month will be set up to allow only one name per tee time. Book as a single even if you are with other golfers. Upon check-in, please notify the pro shop staff who your golfing partner(s) are (if applicable) so we may adjust your booking.
Courtesy and consideration
-please be respectful of staff and other members as we work through this inconvenience. We are enforcing the rules - we don't make the rules!
-please do not attempt to circumvent the current restrictions and book unauthorized groups or join up while on course.
-please don't golf more than one round a day during this period so we can get as many of our members on the course as possible.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!
Highwood Golf
