Maybe not Weitz, and as repugnant a human being he is, he does have a right to what amounts to a impartial jury and a fair trial.
With the political influence, with a juror that seems to have lied and went into the trial with his mind made up, he does have an absolute right to appeal it.
If he's going to be convicted on all three charges its best to make sure that it was done the right way so there's no question.
