After this year, the next two drafts have 2 Crosby-level prospects and three Malkin-level prospects.
It's an almost unprecedented opportunity to have a really good chance at getting at least one franchise player. If this team was good right now, I would be against it, but as of right now, I see no chance of a contender window opening any time in the next 2 or 3 years anyway.
If it's a choice between finishing between 15th and 20th over the next three seasons, I take my chances tanking.
