Players receive cross checks to the back regularly that are far more malicious than whatever that was. Penalty/misconduct yes, negligence or suspension? I don't see it.

My issue with this is this guy looked down at a player lying flat on his face, doing nothing, and decided the best thing to do was to punch them in the back of the head. I don't care that he kind of maybe missed, or that the player didn't get seriously injured this time. I don't want that person in general public much less in my favorite sport attempting to hurt good entertaining players (ie, all players that are not him and his ilk). Is the NHL better for having him in it? All he is is a liability to their most valuable assets. I don't understand why they would want to let him continue to work for them.
