Evgeny Kuznetsov was a healthy scratch. It sounds like it has had some issues this year. He's having a down year in terms of production and durability.
7.8 mill cap hit for 4 more years after this year.
Just turned 28. He has a 15 team no-trade list.

Do I think the Flames should try to get him? No really, but I think he makes more sense than Kopitar.
And I would probably trade Monahan for him, mostly for the sake of change. At least Kuznetsov once had 32 points in 24 playoff games. It would be interesting to see what he would do with Gaudreau.

Sutter might hate him. But at the same time, Sutter won with players like Richards and Doughty, who apparently had ... similar issues.
