I have partied very hard in Calgary both when living there and now visiting every so often and never once had any trouble with the cops. I also have a number of friends that continue to go out and they have (not to my knowledge anyways) had any trouble with the cops.
I have dealt with the cops in Calgary and will say they have been nothing but nice and professional with me. If anything they let me get away with stuff that they could have really made a pain in my ass if they wanted to.
