Okay, but regardless of the lottery, picking 7th is still a lot better than picking 12th/13th.
Right now the Flames are set to pick 10th. This is down from 5th/6th a few weeks ago.
We've gone from talking about Eklund/Johnson/Clarke to talking about Sillinger/Lucius/Pastujov.
It looks like there's a pretty stark drop-off after the top 8.
Beating Edmonton is always nice, but otherwise it's too bad that a few wins can result in having a lower quality player.
In 3 years, no one will care about any of these games anyways.
