I am sure there were other options. I am sure the flames could be stuck with a Kerfoot like contract on the books instead of using the Brodie cap space on Tanev. The Flames lost a top pair D and replaced him with one who is the same age and 500k cheaper.
Losing Jankowski for nothing is a problem for you? The guy is out of the league next year.
