I guess if you get the impression that they want too much to protect Gio then you give them the impression that you're using one of your spots to protect him anyways. Then it becomes a shell game and maybe Seattle would just prefer the certainty of a third and say kylington or Phillips.
Anyhow, the third is only a hypothetical price. My point is that refusing to give up any asset because you're not in the position to do so is a silly stance.
