I don't think that Lucic is the problem in the locker room, and maybe JP deserved some rough treatment, Its great that he's come back with a better sense of maturity. But his first time around he clearly wasn't committed, wasn't putting in the effort to get better and came across as pretty entitled.
While Lucic is overpaid and nobody disagrees with that. At least he's not a ponzi scheme on two legs, relentlessly conning the Oilers every day that he's under contract with them.

That's assuming it's even true, sounds like BS oiler propaganda to me that the unwashed masses just gobble up as truth. There were also rumours that Connor didn't like Puljujarvi and didn't want him on his line but you won't see the oiler faithful trotting out that. From what we've seen of Neal and Lucic on this team I seriously doubt that Lucic is a problem and Neal is some beacon of leadership. Lucic faced adversity and redoubled his efforts to become a productive player again, Neal is completely done and has been since before Covid was a factor.
