Bump.

Is it normal for glasses to have barrel distortion at the edges? I.e. for vertical lines to look curved in or out when looking at them not directly on? I am nearsighted, -1.75 to -3.00 (also astigmatism).

Also looking at getting progressives for the first time, I assume the difference between cheap and expensive magnifies (heh) with more complex lenses...

Varilux seems to be popular, but Costco has "Accolade Freedom 3.0 HD" which seem to be similar technology? Anyone have any experience with that Costco lens? Or recommend a place to get Varilux that doesn't charge an outrageous amount?
