He was one guy, for some reason, I always thought may end up on the Flames (like Sean Burke, way back when) somehow. Just an honest, seemingly down to earth, solid professional.
There's some luck involved with injuries, but to play that many games, you have to have proper and professional preparation, training and attitude, not just for the good years, but perseverance during and after the bad ones. Especially with all the good teams SJ had but not able to get over the hump in the Sutter/Wilson/McLellan days.
