Cool story time.
I use to attend the swift current hockey camp annually.
The top guy from 96 on was Patrick Marleau.
I had every damn card of his team canada jrs. Laser cut, game worn jerseys ,halo graphs to name it..
In those days The coaches of the camp used the officials room to suit up during these camps. I remember being so scared to asked him to sign these cards every damn year. I rember being so shy to ask him and my dad pushing me like " he won't mind " I was always " yay , he will mind". And every damn year he never had a single problem taking time out to talk and sign them. To boot he would invite me and my dad to have our lunch break with him . Every damn year he had his 2 hour lunch with him.
I have the photos buried somewhere but I'm so happy he made it this far . This dude is unbelievable. I went to that camp for 4 years and he was always such an A one type person .
What a player and what a human .
