Flames confidence was clear tonight.
In the Ward era this year there would be trepidation by the team in the third, happy to be in the lead. Flames dominated that game and deserved to be ahead by more then 1 before Leivo's goal, which itself was just honest to goodness hard work and persistence by the line, after the JG workto create a breakaway. But old Flames would've wilted and let in a pinball goal and lost that one in OT.
It's a fine line, and Flames deservedly were on the right side of a one goal game that turned into a 2 goal lead.
