Assuming things go as I think they should the Kraken have a choice of a really really old D who costs a lot (though their cap isn’t an issue, cash may be) but has a name value, a talented young D who no coach seems to like much and a completely NHL-untested tiny forward. All of whom have 1 year on their deal (albeit Kylington and Phillips are controlled).
Or they could pull an Engelland and choose to sign Derek Ryan, who is sort of local, won’t cost much and who can be pretty useful on an expansion team filled with young guys.
