Hughes is on the COVID list but Pettersson is one of the other forwards who isn't (probably because he was injured when the rest of the team got sick). I wonder if they use this stretch to try to make a deal with him too.

That second contract for Pettersson is a difficult one to predict: he's got all-world skill, and has yet to crack the 1.00 pts/GP. He was a beast in the playoffs last year, but has yet to play a complete, healthy season. The Canucks will most definitely need to pay for potential, but there is still a fair amount of risk there.
