I'm a big believer in asset management over anything else, but for a special player like Gio, I think the club owes him the opportunity if he wants it. He may just choose to ride it out into the sunset in Calgary and that's OK too.

Fully agree with this. If he wants to ride it out, then that’s fine by me. He deserves it. Maybe he’d chase a cup elsewhere and then come back to us on a cheap deal to give it one more kick in the can. Probably not though.
I want him to win a cup. His story as an undrafted player is an inspiration to many.
