Fox was really a non-factor in the Hamilton trade. That trade gets done not matter what. It was know he wasn't going to sign so his value wasn't much at all.

Why would the Flames include him the deal as a non factor? Out of the goodness of their heart?
He had value as proven by the fact the Canes eventually moved him for two seconds when his risk of becoming a ufa was even greater
On what basis can you say the trade gets done “no matter what”?
