Sure the guy started off hot in Montreal but he's been just as bad as Monahan the last 20 games, and isn't any better than him defensively.

Anderson's underlying numbers are a hell of a lot better than Monahan's atleast.
Anderson is a competent even strength player, Monahan is not.

I think the off-season goal was to have centre depth that read: Lindholm, Backlund, Bennett, Ryan. They failed to move Monahan for the RW piece they wanted, and the results are what they are.
