Except, by not trading him now you allow Seattle to pick him and then eat 50% at the next tdl. His value is highest now to a playoff team. If his new team only has him for this playoff run, what would be the difference if you waited to trade him at next years tdl? That team would only have him for 1 playoff run. Eat salary now. Move out Johnny, Monahan, and Gio now. Retool and move on.
