TJ has been playing his best defense by far, and that’s his exact role in Toronto. They want him to allow Reilly to move and jump the rush and TJ to be the clutch d-man and it’s working well. That being said, so very grateful for the time he spent in Calgary and I know we all still cheer for the Flames. I mean, 10 years was a long time and we all grew to love the team. Miss seeing him wearing #7, but the Flames foundation built him to be such a strong, confident player.

This is why Gio was able to win the Norris, it was just as much a co award. Anderson just doesn’t have the foot speed and defensive acumen to be that type of partner to replace what TJ brought on that pairing.
As stated, TJ made the right choice by going to the leafs. If the Flames aren’t in the playoffs, I hope they go far for Brodie’s sake.
