I appreciate that perspective for sure. (And yeah I was thinking when the pitcher catches the ball from the back catcher, clock starts). It's tough, cause I love the sport, and I know we're in for a major reckoning for pro sports so I'm trying to think of ways for it survive.

3.5 - 4 hours games will keep someone like you for the rest of your life likely, while slightly less traditionalist and more easily distracted fans like myself will definitely keep following and watch games here and there. But this sport needs a change in timing if it wants to survive long term and attract new fans, imo.
