In the movie a big deal was made about the districts but now you can just start another team for some reason. I find it hard to believe a top team like the Ducks doesn't have a B team or a cut player couldn't find a spot on one of the other 9 teams. If a player has the fee and wants to play I can't see a local league telling them to pound sand with the only option being to start a new team.
Seeing how bad the Don't Bothers are just reminds me of how ridiculous the movie was in having this horrible team turn things around almost immediately. This team is even worse than the original Ducks which worries me they'll turn the sports movie tropes up to 11. Hopefully with the league age group being 12 to 14 year olds we get 3 seasons of gradual improvement instead of 3 games of drastic improvement.
