Canada used to be the world leader in vaccine production, but it was funded by the government and universities. Eventually, as it always does when profiting becomes the main focus, our vaccine production was sold off to companies and production moved out of the country. More government control is needed in this industry for sure and it shouldn't be about the bottom line. Try telling that to the companies that are trying to make money though.
