Markstrom was the Canucks MVP last season according to many reviews/sources, he didn't lose his job in the playoffs, he was a solid UFA acquisition for a team that had middling goaltending for years.

I just think he's hurt.

His schedule to start the season is too similar to his workload in Vancouver over the last three years to scream burn out.

People that criticize coaching choices, goaltenders before Markstrom, or trading picks all have ammunition without adding good moves to the bad pile.
The Marskstrom move can most definitely be questioned as it was not a slam dunk good move. Not saying it was a mistake but I think it can be debated.

Just like some of his moves that failed can certainly be defended.
