I think either extreme ...
a) being so pro Treliving that gloss over his mistakes
b) being so anti Treliving that you try and find a way to talk down things that were good calls
are equally foolish.
Markstrom was the Canucks MVP last season according to many reviews/sources, he didn't lose his job in the playoffs, he was a solid UFA acquisition for a team that had middling goaltending for years.
I just think he's hurt.
His schedule to start the season is too similar to his workload in Vancouver over the last three years to scream burn out.
People that criticize coaching choices, goaltenders before Markstrom, or trading picks all have ammunition without adding good moves to the bad pile.
