Just a nonstop parade of people getting backstabbed and murdered in the most horrific way possible every episode, followed by lengthy periods of loud grieving scenes. I feel so drained after watching it, and not in a fun, roller coaster way either.
Only 3 more episodes in S5 so I'm feeling the need to finish it, but I don't know if I can do another 20 eps of this for the final season...

Glad I didn't give up and decided to push through to wrap up the series, as like a bad novel, I couldn't stop that close to the end. I've actually really enjoyed season 6 so far (I've watched 14 of 20 eps of S6 to date). It's night & day better than S5. They even managed to humanize Ivar - at least to the 14 episode point anyway. The whole Rus & Oleg angle has been riveting.
