Default Natural Gas Pool Heater

crap, please move to the offtopic forum!

Looking to gain some knowledge surrounding pool heater size.

Am looking at going a little bigger than the "recommended" size because I want to use it earlier and later in the season and also want it to warm up quick when I turn it on, as I won't leave it on all summer.

Just wondering if there are any disadvantages to going bigger than the recommended sizing, other than the obvious upfront cost? My recommended size is 350k btu and ended up purchasing a 400k btu

The electrician I had give a quote for install said it could end up costing more to run, but I can't see how. Especially considering everyone else I spoke with said bigger is better!
