Connor McDavid does strike me as a crappy guy to play with: always hogs the puck; won't leave the ice at tbd end of a shift; cherry-picks at the line and is slow to get back; dives and whines at tbe referrees,; and then pulls off garbage like this from time to time.
He is great at playing hockey, but he sure doesn't seem like a guy who inspires much from his teammates.

And in terms of marketability, he certainly doesn't do much for the sport of hockey. Not as far as generational talents go.
Crosby and Gretzky were much better faces for the sport.
