I was having fun watching the game until those two minutes. What a way to absolutely flatten momentum. I never winge about refs but WTF. Kicking/intentional deflection like that is all the same to me. Now if there's a net front presence and the skate is angled properly before the shot, I think that's where the rule applies. IMO the Thompson goal is a no goal because it's a distinct extension of the body in an un natural position. And the shot was already taken.
