It’s time to move on from Gaudreau. It has gone stale. Doesn’t matter which team he is going to, the Flames just need to get the best return that makes their team better. Saying no to the leafs because of trades that happened over 10 and 30 years ago is foolish. If the Flames can pluck another teams best prospect +, that’s something the Flames need to consider.
If you think the Flames are going to trade Gaudreau and end up with a better player in return, well, I hope you’re right but I’m not holding out hope. In this case I think it’s addition by subtraction. Short of the Flames finding a RW who can do the heavy lifting for JG & SM, it’s time to turn the page. Problem is, I think the Flames have been looking for that player for a couple years now and it doesn’t seem to be out there.
