Because top six players rarely change teams. And no, it's not easy to replace these players in three years. You're delusional. You don't replace top line players in three short years. Budgets are tight and prospects take time to develop. Treliving has been here for six and like you mentioned, added a single top six player. It is not an easy thing to do for any team, and even harder for the Canadian teams outside Toronto.
