This is probably being captain obvious, and has been said before, but I really hope this season goes one of two ways.
1) Team figures things out over the next five games, picks up momentum and go into the playoffs hot. Not expecting a stanley cup, given the likes of the Knights and the avalanche, lightning but maybe win a round or two (we'd match up well with toronto). Sutter really sees what works and what doesn't and we, the fans, get some excitement and hope for the future. End result being a few tweaks/changes in the offseason and we are a much better team next year and Sutter really puts his stamp on the team.
2) Continue to be a complete disaster, big changes in the offseason with no regrets or second thoughts about what could have been.
I just don't want a mediocre ending- just missing the playoffs after a late run or squeaks into the playoffs by some fortune and get destroyed first round. Then it's up in the air how much change is needed vs. writing the COVID season off as an anomaly.
Black and white would be nice.
