These are 6.5-7+ foot 200-290lb players running at top speed, slamming into each other in closer quarters with no equipment.
If you think hockey is harder than basketball, I suggest you probably haven't played both. Or you are biased.
The pace of play in basketball is far higher in Basketball, with as many or more moving parts than Hockey.
