The stuff I take issue with certainly isn't that refs miss a penalty because there was just too much going on, or the game was moving too fast to see it. They have a tough job. No doubt about it.

However, adding game management, shifting standards between playoffs and regular season, etc. into the mix certainly doesn't make their job any easier.
