See that's the thing that gets me. He played in the NHL, coached 3 teams to the ultimate goal ( yes 3 cause It was in!) and said that he did not want to coach just to coach.
Therefore he must see things in this team that we mortals cannot see.
We see now regularly Benny and Monny on the PK. We even saw Lucic in the dying seconds of a pk last time.
So it's like he knows the pieces are there, that they do GAF but lack confidence because they are paralyzed by ????
The pandemic? Not all athletes respond the same way in these troubled times.
Family issues?
Personal problems?
One of Darryl's best attributes is that he really wants to know you not only as a hockey player but as a human and this is where he will eventually unlock what is ailing some (or most) of our core group.
If he did not think he had something worthy in this group, why would he have accepted the job?
