I don’t know if Monahan is the problem - I think it’s as likely that consistently saddling these two with an AHL player and asking them to turn chicken #### into chicken salad has had a detrimental effect.

Because when they play with anyone who’s even halfway competent at the NHL level - Hudler, Ferland, Jagr, Lindholm - they’re damn good.

It’s a problem that they’re both flawed in the same way - butter soft and easily knocked off the puck.

It’s on the GM for failing to acquire forward talent.

We spend all these assets on Dougie Hamilton, and Travis Hamonic when we already had Norris Gio and Ascendant Brodie on the roster eating 25 a night, and we’ve since drafted Andersson, Kylington, and Valimaki

If we’d done nothing instead of trading for Hamilton, our #1C would be Matt Barzal.

ONE impact top-6 forward added since the Tkachuk draft is pathetic.

Signing 45 year old Jaromir Jagr wasn’t a horrible idea, if it had happened in August and Jagr had time to properly prepare - go watch AC’s compilation, Jagr made things happen every game he played for us.

Signing 45 year old Jaromir Jagr in the first week of the season is pathetic.
