The only thing with the money on that deal is that adding Frost doesn't really add AAV to their side of the deal since PHI still needs a replacement player.
I think they are also really hoping Frost delivers value next year on his ELC (ie. Robert Thomas for STL). I think they'd sooner move Patrick.
Next two off-seasons will be a bit crazy in PHI. Hart and Sanheim will get bumps this year...can they/do they keep Scott Laughton? Can't imagine Patrick gets much more than 1x1? Who does SEA take?
Then 2022 Farabee and Couturier are poised for big raises...Frost will take a bridge. What do they do with Giroux? Easier to keep him if Voracek/JVR get taken by SEA.
I think they'll want to take a run at Seth Jones/Pulock/Parayko more than Gaudreau.
