Vasilevsky was 22. Fleury was 21. Hellebuyck was 23. Rask was 22. Gibson was 22. Price was 21. Bobrovsky was 22. Lehner was 25 (Is he an elite goalie?). Hart was 21 (is he an elite goalie?)
Vasilevskiy played parts of two AHL seasons. Hellebuyck played two seasons. Rask played two seasons. Gibson played two seasons. Bobrovsky played three seasons in the KHL. Lehner played three AHL seasons.
Varlomov was 23. Grubbaur was 26 or 27. Holtby was 24. Quick was 22. Andersen was 25.

Even guys like Rinne, Halak, and Elliott, all 8th round picks or later, were in the NHL by 22.
Goalies don't take as long to develop as people think. At least the good ones don't. Our very own Markstrom played in the NHL at 20.
Halak was a starter at 24.

Markstrom did not become a starter until he was 27. He also played five seasons in the AHL.

If Wolf spends time in the AHL, he shouldn't spend more than 1 or 2 seasons there IMO.

After two full seasons in the AHL Wolf will be 22-years-old. It will take as long as it takes, but I sure don't think we should be pencilling him in as an NHL starter by then. I don't see the same clear pattern that you seem to.
