Nothing against Calgary, but I don't see what the draw would be for him, and don't know of any ties he has to the city or surrounding area. Plus he's a player with enough profile to call his own shots when the time comes.


There's also the danger that the team he would join in Calgary is simply not that competitive owing to the pieces given up to acquire him, which could lead to another frustrating experience.


But that's all just spitballing: he could end up loving playing for the Flames. Maybe we'll find out (but I doubt it).
