In Eichel's tenure, BUF has always had pretty brutal:

- goaltending
- defence (obviously Dahlin is/was promising, but can't expect much immediately; the rest slot as #3/4 at best on good teams)
- bottom 9

Eichel's line has been between fine to great for the most part. Reinhart is nothing special, but very solid. Skinner was okay for a bit, and was replaced by Olofsson.

They should've been better his first 3 years with ROR, but the above problems still existed. It can't be overstated how bad BUF is beyond their top 3-4 guys.
