Tkachuk is kind of found money to me. If Dim Jim doesn't do Dim Jim things there is likely a massive Juolevi thread here about what to do with another top 10 bust as I feel that's the guy the Flames were going to take at that spot. The Flames got some good years from Tkachuk but he played his cards pushing for the bridge deal and it's up to Treliving or whomever the GM is to make sure that the asset is not mismanaged as if you spin Tkachuk into a 1st round pick and top prospect it's a continuation of the gift the Flames received from the Canucks. The Flames have already played a dangerous game with one of their other top assets in Gaudreau and sooner or later you would hope that smarter minds prevail here as there's a long game here and the organization needs to position themselves to have at least a roster with hope to open the new arena.
